Christmas Hair Wreath
This is the amazing Trisha Reibelt’s colourful hair for the holidays; The Christmas Hair Wreath. Complete with mini Christmas crackers. Why put a wreath on your door when you could have one in your hair? After all the Greek and Romans wore wreaths as crowns to show their status and achievement.
Meaning and Symbolism: The original Advent wreath was constructed of evergreens to represent everlasting life brought through Jesus and the circular shape of the wreath represents God, with no beginning and no end.
Today Trisha (aka Tree) talks to us about her Christmas hair colours and how she created this stunning festive braided updo.
Here is our Q & A with Trisha Reibelt:
What was the inspiration for the Christmas hair wreath?
I normally wear my hair in a wreath around my head to keep out of the way for work and when the Christmas decorations started showing up on the shelves in stores, I thought it would be fun to turn into a Christmas wreath. With the help from a friend, we dressed it up with various decorations (he made the mini bonbons)….we may have gotten a little carried away as I initially didn’t intend to cover all of the wreath. We were both happy and amused with the outcome.
What dyes did you use?
The colours used were all by Directions: Rubine, Pillarbox Red, Fire, Mandarin, Fluorescent Glow, Spring Green, Apple Green and Alpine Green. I used these colours to create three reds and three greens.
