How to do Pinwheel Rainbow Hair with a twist by Anya Goy
The pinwheel technique has been popular over the last year for it’s simple design. As the name suggests the pattern works from the crown in long vertical sections to the hairline, and when viewed from above looks like a pinwheel. Often this pattern uses 2 or 3 colours. But today I wanted to give it this popular sectioning pattern the Anya Goy rainbow twist! Using 6 colours the hair was divided into 12 sections. However rather than uses the classic straight sections, I gave it my own twist and used zig-zag sections for a less stripy look. Check out the video…
PINK: Equal parts Special Effects Atomic pink, Crazy Colour Pinkissimo and silicone free conditioner Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10 in 1.
BLUE: Equal parts Special Effects Fishbowl Blue, Special Effects Blue Velvet and Crazy Colour Capri Blue.
YELLOW: Half Manic Panic Electric Banana and Half Joico Yellow.
PURPLE: Half Manic Panic Plum and Half Brite Organix Purple.
GREEN: Half Crazy Colour Emerald Green and half Crazy Colour Canary Yellow with a dash of Special Effects Fishbowl Blue.
ORANGE: Half Crazy Colour Coral Red and half Directions Tangerine.
